Last update: September 1, 2019

All accepted chapters are now submitted to CRC Press for typesetting and page layout. Authors will be receiving Contributor Agreements from Mansi Kabra at CRC Press; please work directly with Mansi to sign and transfer copyright.

Please let James and I know if you have any questions as we work through this final phase. Thanks so much for your contribution!

Submitting Your FINAL Manuscript and materials

Authors have been notified of the editors’ decision on their chapters. These decisions were made after the second peer review.

For accepted authors, the following documents must be submitted:

  1. Each figure and each table in a separate file.

  2. Your Microsoft Word .docx file or LaTeX source file formatted to the specifications below.

  3. Your manuscript also saved as a .pdf file.

  4. A separate .docx file with your chapter title, author names, and abstract.  Your abstract should be 150-200 words.

  5. Updated chapter metadata file. If no updates are needed, please let Natalie and James know.

  6. Updated permissions form.  If no updates are needed, please let Natalie and James know.

Please email your full chapter to (1) Natalie: natalie.scala@gmail.com and (2) James: james.howard@jhu.edu

In the interest of inbox management, please ensure your chapter is fully complete before submitting, so that you only send one email with all attachments.

Format

Your chapter can be submitted in either Microsoft Word or LaTeX format.

Metadata

To facilitate indexing and chapter management, please complete the chapter metadata template using Microsoft Word.

Metadata Template

Please email the completed template to Natalie and James when submitting your chapter.  The template requests (1) author name(s), (2) author ORCiD ID(s), (3) chapter title, (4) 150-200 word abstract.  This data should replace the orange shaded text sections.  If you do not have an ORCiD, please register for one at orcid.org.

Permissions

CRC Press is requiring each author team to submit a permissions form for each chapter.  This document addresses any content that needs permissions to published, due to previous copyright or other rights.  Even if you do not include any content of this type in your chapter, you will still need to submit the form declaring as such.

Authors submitted this form with their initial manuscript. Please update as needed to support your final manuscript.
